It ended up being a rough night, filled with tons of involuntary self harm and other questionable behaviours. Not that it was weird for a werewolf to act in those ways during the full moon, but it still felt extremely odd. When the sun finally rose and the bones slid back to their original places and morphed back, Dohyun was still able to remember every single bit of it. That’s one reason as to why he didn’t dare look at himself. He knew some bones were broken, that there was a large set of claw marks traveling down his chest and a couple of self inflicted bite marks. Fuck.
He lay there, on top of one of the old mattresses, questioning basically every life decision he’d ever made, wasn’t death to prefer over this? To be fair, this wasn’t really living. At least not a real life that one could actually enjoy. The cherry on top in that moment was the tedious fact that his hand still hurt. Of course he’d managed to rip off the bandages during the course of the night, but he’d hoped the wounds would not have opened up yet another time. But well..long story short - they did. And for some stupid, stupid reason that hurt more than just his hand. Cora-San has actually put work into patching up that broken hand of his, and now all of his work was gone with the wind. The floorboards were covered in blood and the sheets underneath him were also starting to stain. However he didn’t really care at that point. Once again his thoughts were filled up with his dorm mate. Why had he helped him? Why had he gone after him? And why on earth had he given him a completely genuine smile. Fuck. When madam Pomfrey arrived at the shrieking shack, she was more than surprised to see Dohyun literally fuming. This wasn’t a weird thing in itself, but considering the broken bones and all the blood..it was more or less a strange sight. She even asked him why he looked so frustrated and angry, which only resulted in a lecture from the student. ‘You shouldn’t stick your nose in other people’s business’, he muttered as she helped him climb up through the narrow opening by the tree. The sun has already risen and that clock seemed to be around eight, maybe even nine. That meant most students were up by now and they had to be extra careful. No one was to find out, ever. Tony was an exception, of course, but keep in mind he didn’t consider it that big of a deal. He mostly felt sorry for his friend, not scared or anything in those lines. They slowly moved closer to the castle, taking a shortcut through a door Dohyun had never seen before. Or maybe he had? Anyways, it lead them straight into the corridor where the hospital wing was located. ‘Are you okay? No! For Merlins sake, you’re bleeding!’ Tony exclaimed and met up with the other two in the middle of the corridor. It was actually a nice gesture and the taller boy couldn’t resist appreciating it. ‘It’s only one broken bone’, Dohyun began and smiled, even though every inch of it was riddled with pain. ‘Or three, but that’s okay’, he continued, whereafter he was led into the large room, immediately being tucked in under the bed sheets of one of the empty beds. ‘So, did you speak to Cora-San?’ Again, why did he even want to know? Ugh. 5 jun, 2019 23:50 |

Cora-San lifted the cup to his lips as he turned the page, not finding the information about flying sheep to his interest. Sometimes he wondered why he even read the paper, trying to keep up whit what happened in New Zeeland, it wasn't like he had any connection or love for his birth country. And the news was often late, seeing the owls had to fly long before they reached him, so when he got them it wasn't relevant. Yet he continued reading, maybe out of bordom, or maybe out of habit. He skimmed the article about a conflict with the Australian border, but he soon dropped it and turned to another page, and stopped.
He stared at the large picture of his grandmother, actually it was more than one picture, showing her in different state of life, and at first he thought she had done another speech, and he felt anger. But when he turned his focus to the heading, he blinked a few times, dropped his cup, making it shutter on the floor before he started laughing. The people around him turned towards him, very surprised. None of them had heard him laugh, and seeing it wasn't a normal one, most of the students got more afraid of him. But he didn't even noticed it, he just held the paper in a convulsive way, making his finger become white as he just stared at the pictures. He didn't even read how she died, not caring about it. "Mr Cora-San?!" he didn't stop laughing when McGonagall walked over, clearly worried about him, but as he finally lifted his eyes, meeting looking at her, he got angry. He saw sorrow in her eyes, sorrow was something his grandmother didn't deserved, and he didn't wish for it. "Are you alright? The headmaster informed me this morning" "I am more than fine" he answered coldly, as he folded the paper. "It's your grandmother, your last relative on your fathers side" "So?" McGonagall seemed to be taken back by the question, as she didn't expected his answer. It was clearer than ever to him, that even if they knew what had happened to him as a child, or part of it, none of them understood. For some reason Pomfrey thought that forgiveness was the way to handle it, and get over it. Some of the other teachers thought acceptans was the way. He hadn't figured out what McGonagall thought yet, maybe because she didn't knew herself. "I am taking you to Pomfrey" "No need" he answered but she wouldn't take a now for an answer, and more or less started dragging him away. For her age, she was strong, and she also had great magic skills, skills he didn't have and soon he stood in the hospital wing. "Pomfrey?" it didn't took long until the woman walked over, looking between them, nodding to McGonagall, while she gave him a gentle look. "How are you feeling Rosinante?" he just glared at both women. "It's alright to feel sorrow" "Oh for fuck sake, I know that it's alright, I am just not sadden" "It will come" "No it will not! I wish for her to burn in hell..." he hindered himself, before he smiled a cold smile. "I actually think I will arrange that" "What are you talking about?" McGonagall gave him a worried look. "As the head of my house, I will be responsible for the funeral, and I wish to have her burned, and buried next to father" "There was nothing left of your father to bury" Pomfrey stated, both the women seemed a bit confused, and worried, like he really had lost it. "I know" "Come, we need to talk about this" Pomfrey gave him a stern look, and McGonagall walked next to him towards the nurse office. "She is your grandmother..." Pomfrey started but Cora-San didn't listen, he had no interest in what the two woman had to say, none. Instead his eyes had fell upon Dohyun and Tony. The first one seemed like he had been through hell, almost like he had met his father. The state of the other one made no sense, none so whatever, unless he had gotten into a fight with someone, but the blonde was fairly sure that there would be a rumor if that was the case. But he didn't have time to think about it before Pomfrey closed the door and made him sit in the chair, soon starting to ask him a lot of questions and going through the different states of sorrow and a lot of things he really didn't wish to hear, so he simply stopped listening. 6 jun, 2019 06:52 |
