Thélowên did her best to keep from laughing at Rhaenys while she spoke to the unresponsive egg. It was quite cute actually, but in a sort of funny way she thought. But Thélowên managed to not show a thing, she looked as stoic as ever.
"Well, you just do what ever you have to do Ray." she said as she speared the moon hare meat after slicing the animal open from the throat to the tail, pulling out the internal organs; saving them for Voron later on despite the warg being capable of catching his own meal. Just as a treat, she thought for herself while tugging the little bag shut. "As long as I don't have to talk to the thing." she continued after grabbing the speared animal, "I'll protect it and all that but speaking to it, not my thing." She placed the meat over the fire and stared at it with a watering mouth. Spoiler: Tryck här för att visa! 11 sep, 2019 13:29 |

Rheanys smiled.
“I promise that you don’t have to speak to her” she said, stroking the egg. She looked down at the egg, thinking. Even though she spoke to it, it somehow gave her a feeling that it didn’t quite understand her. As if the language was wrong. She had read that there had been a dragon language, but it had never been written down but passed from Dragon Rider to Dragon Rider. Rhaenys wondered if they were going to be able to communicate without it. She put the egg back in her bag and turned to the food. She picked up the berries and the other non-meat food that Thelowên had gathered for her, and started eating. She leaned back, using a stone as support for her back. She tried not to look disgusted as Thélowên skinned the rabbit and put it over the fire. Instead, Rhaenys looked at the stream. The sound was calming, and the golden light in the cave actually made her feel quite comfortable. Spoiler: Tryck här för att visa! 17 sep, 2019 10:41 |

Thélowên spun the stick with the meat as she held it over the dancing flames of the fire. The meat glistened and her mouth watered a bit more. Her thoughts were however not on the upcoming food, but rather the upcoming journey. A tingle of excitement tickled her stomach and she almost smiled. The meat gave a sizzling noise as some drops of juice fell on the piping hot wood below.
"You know, I'm kinda excited. For the trip I mean," she lifted the meat up to check if it was done while talking, "This is a good start, we won't find shelter like this everywhere, or food. But we are starting out strong at least, don't you think?" She held the meat back over the fire as it needed a minute or two more and as she did this her eyes turned towards Rhaenys who was leaning against a rock only an arms reach or two away. Rhaenys had tried not to look at the meat when Thélowên started talking. She smiled.
"I'm also excited for the trip, and I definitely agree that it was quite the start. We've only been on this trip for a couple of hours, and we've already been attacked once" she said, shaking her head while her smile turned into a grin. She felt a yawn crawl up from inside of her, and she let it out. She had finished her food, and it had now gotten dark outside. Luckily, Rhaenys didn't have to worry about the dark, since the golden trails inside of the cave were lit up for her. Unfortunately, she had a feeling that she was going to have to deal with darkness many times during this trip. "Well, fighting makes you tired" she said, yawning once again. Her eyes landed on the meat again, which apparently wasn't finished since Thélowên had put it back above the fire. Rhaenys grabbed her bag, placing it close to her. She could feel the vibrations from the egg even through the bag; it was as if the dragon inside felt that they were on their way. Rhaenys placed a hand on her bag, feeling the calm wash over her. Her connection with the egg felt stronger than it had before. Spoiler: Tryck här för att visa! 22 sep, 2019 11:32 |

The meat sizzled over the flames, Thélowên slowly turned it round and round. Waiting.
"Suppose´so," she said with a small tug at the end of her mouth. She hadn't really given it much thought. It was nothing she hadn't planned for. They were on a dangerous journey and most likely they were going to be in trouble more often than not. Secretly, oh so very secretly, Thélowên was in the deepest part of her warrior heart a bit happy about the upcoming battles. Not that she would ever confess to that. But the feeling was there, and she was a warrior. Down to the very last bone in her body. The body that was famished. She held up the meat to inspect it. It was finally done and she was more than ready to eat it almost whole. "Well, get some rest and I'll see you in a few hours. I'm just gonna finish this here," she said as she dug her teeth in to the hot, grilled meat. Spoiler: Tryck här för att visa! 23 sep, 2019 08:50 |

Rhaenys yawned again.
“You don’t have to tell me twice” she said, smiling. She took a blanket out of her saddle bags and used her bag with the egg as a pillow. She laid down on the ground, putting the blanket over her. She had her back turned towards Thélowên, closing her eyes. It didn’t take very long for her to fall asleep, and as she did, the dreams started to build in her mind. The nightmare caused Rhaenys to whimper, her eyes rolling rapidly back and forth under her closed eyelid. Her legs were kicking, as if they were bound and she tried to get out. Rhaenys wiggled on the wooden bench, her arms and legs were bound, her stomach exposed. “The next element, fire”, the man said, and Rhaenys could see him grin in the light of the torches. He grabbed one of them, and held the flame dangerously close to Rhaenys’ skin. “Tell me where the egg is, and I won’t have to hurt you” he said, as Rhaenys tried to push her body through the bench to avoid the flame. She was breathing hard, shaking her head rapidly. “Please, no, no” she said, her eyes wildly staring at the flame. Rhaenys made a gurgling sound. “Please, no, no” she mumbled, her body twitching and she started to breathe heavier. “I told you the way to keep me from hurting you” the man said, and Rhaenys shook her head. These people could never, ever find out where the egg was. “I won’t tell you” she said hoarsely, and it only took a second. The torch was pressed into the side of her stomach, and it was the most painful Rhaenys had ever felt. She screamed, her brain telling her that this pain was unbearable, and she blacked out. Rhaenys woke up with a gasp, breathing quickly and hard. She swallowed, feeling a drop of sweat running down her temple and down on the stone floor. She tried to breathe calmer, and was happy that the golden light was dancing around her. 23 sep, 2019 14:18 |

Thélowên had woken up from her light slumber a few moments ago. The fire had died and she had replenished it with wood and quickly got it going once more. The light flickered over the cave walls and made the water glimmer a little more. The golden light coming from inside the cave itself was only reflected even more by the warm light of the fire. It was a magnificent place, truly. Not that Thélowên ever talked about pretty things, but she still admired them inside herself - quietly.
She had just about fallen asleep again when Rhaenys movements and sudden gasp kept her from reaching that sweet darkness that was sleep. As she turned her head she saw Rhaenys body move with the quick breathes, "Rhaenys, are you awake?" Thélowên spoke in a low, hushed voice so as not to disturb her friend if she in fact was asleep. They still had about two hours before it was time to wake up and get going again. Those two hours of sleep could mean a great deal depending on how the day would unfold and what obstacles they would meet. 4 dec, 2019 16:55 |
